New Les Mills Classes

Group exercise doesn’t just keep you fit, it’s fun too. You share experiences and motivate each other, keeping on the right track whilst helping classmates do the same.

As you might have gathered, we’re really into group exercise. This is for all sorts of reasons, from the effectiveness that comes from training within a wider social group, to the benefits that are derived from inviting the community into our centres to get to know each other whilst keeping healthy.

We’re particularly proud, then, of our extensive group exercise programme. It offers all sorts of activities for people at all levels of fitness. Our members make the most of the programme, dipping in an out of the breadth of our offering – and making new friends in the process.

That’s why we’re always looking for new classes to add to the timetable … and in Les Mills we think we’ve found a new mainstay for our schedule

Founded by former New Zealand track and field athlete Philip Mills, the Les Mills International workouts are fantastic. Tracked to music, they focus on working major muscle groups and achieving enhanced endurance.

Les Mills classes use barbells and other pieces of gym equipment, but also include squats and presses. They goal is to provide a full-spectrum workout using light weights but high repetitions.

These classes will offer even more variety to our existing – and, if you ask us, already exciting! – group exercise timetable. New and old members alike will want to get involved … and get body pumping!

Ask at reception for more details, and see you at class!
